6 months+ W2 Contract Job ID - RFQ1658632 Federal Client seeks temporary support to assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Controller, Staff Accountant, and Budget Analyst with day-to-day financial management activities and special projects to include the following:

• Processing accounts payable to include vendor invoice payments in client's financial system (Momentum Financials from CGI Federal)
• Completing annual internal control assessments over CBO's key business processes
• Assisting with quarterly reviews of client's spend plan and open obligations
• Interviewing stakeholders, gathering information, and documenting client's standard operating procedures
• Assisting with client's year-end activities

The following capabilities are the minimum set of skills required to perform the associated tasks:

• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity of financial accounting software programs/suites.
• Background or degree in finance or business.
• Some knowledge of the federal government budget is preferred.
• The Contractor employee must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
