Paramedic - EMT

Position Summary:At Capitol Imaging Services, we’re a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services committed to delivering high-quality patient care through innovation and a compassionate approach. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate PRN Paramedic or Advanced EMT to join our team.The Paramedic or Advanced EMT supports the imaging department by providing clinical care, patient monitoring, and emergency response services to ensure patient safety during diagnostic procedures. This role works closely with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient or hospital-based imaging environment.Key Responsibilities:Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after imaging proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient statusAssist with patient preparation for imaging exams (CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, etc.)Administer medications, including contrast agents, as directed and within scope of practiceEstablish and maintain IV accessMonitor patients for adverse reactions, especially to contrast media or sedationRespond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving interventionsCollaborate with radiology staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughputMaintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical recordsEnsure compliance with safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelinesProvide patient education and reassurance throughout the imaging processQualifications:Current Paramedic certification/license in the state of employmentCurrent BLS, ACLS (PALS preferred, if applicable) certificationsStrong IV skills and experience with medication administrationKnowledge of emergency response protocols and patient monitoringExcellent communication and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Capitol Imaging Services
