Overview Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. This role focuses on ensuring safe vehicle operation, route efficiency, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards. Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). Report unsafe conditions or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch promptly. Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings. Collaborate with managers to improve route efficiency and address problematic accounts. Assist other company drivers as directed. Notify managers of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Managers. Completely dump containers, leaving the customer location clean and debris free. Submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed. Position containers on the customer’s property, ensuring lids are properly replaced and containers are set upright without blocking driveway entrances or traffic. Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation upon route completion. Qualifications Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B required; applicant must be 18 years of age. No prior work experience required; education not required. Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, including motor vehicle record review. Acceptable driving record required.
