Job Description

Loyal Source is looking for Board Certified Physicians who are interested in providing exceptional service

Primary duties involve providing professional medical care and medication management to inmates with assistance from nursing staff. Analyzes and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses. Diagnoses or treats acute health care problems, such as illnesses, infections, or injuries. Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy. Prescribes medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized. Prescribes appropriate chemical or mechanical measures to assist inmates to improve behaviors. Assists with preparation and modification of the treatment plans and recommends appropriating programs. Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances. Provides evidence-based health education to the inmate population.


Pay: $135/hr 1099

Job Description:


The Physician role includes physicians that examine, diagnose, treat, counsel, and prescribe treatment for patients and make referrals to medical or clinical specialists.

• Applies knowledge of medical principles and practices and skill in the use of medical instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• May provide medical supervision to other clinical staff.
• Ability to accurately examine, diagnose, counsel, and treat a variety of patients.
• Frequently consults on matters relating to medical treatment with patients and their families; medical, clinical, or other professional staff; and insurance companies
• Accurate prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Improvement in patient health and quality of life.
• Independently resolves daily medical issues.
• Guidance is received on policy or exceptional situations.

Requirements:

• Current Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Current and Valid License to practice as verified by Department of Health Professions
• Current and Valid DEA Certificate
• Current and Valid National Provider Identifier
• BLS
