Lead Servicing Officer - Institutional Real Estate

Location 4910 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn Ohio Job Summary This role offers the opportunity to join a well‑established, growing Real Estate Institutional Capital Group team that is recognized for its leadership in commercial lending and as a lead agent in the RE syndication market. The Lead Servicing Officer is responsible for servicing an assigned portfolio of commercial real estate loans, supporting the Real Estate Institutional Capital Group line of business, including nonowner‑occupied and interim loan structures. The role provides end‑to‑end servicing support, portfolio administration, and related client services for a sophisticated client base that includes public and private REITs, real‑estate private equity firms, advisors, and commercial real‑estate owners, with an additional focus on specialized healthcare property financing for hospitals and senior housing owners and operators. This position independently manages all pre‑closing and pre‑boarding document reviews, risk management activities, and ongoing loan system processing, including loan boarding, maintenance, and data integrity. Essential Functions Support client service functions required by credit and non‑credit products offered by the Real Estate Capital Division. Handle all post‑closing services for the assigned portfolio of medium‑complexity loan structures. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high‑volume environment. Provide backup for servicing team members. Assist relationship managers and closers in the pre‑closing process by reviewing loan documents, evaluating funding requirements, and attending closing meetings. Assimilate and analyze information necessary to establish medium‑complexity loans and disbursement controls on bank systems, including borrowing base availability. Maintain servicing files including property additions and releases and letter of credit issuance. Identify exceptions and obtain appropriate approvals as necessary. Initiate and analyze standard and custom monitoring requirements including title/tax updates, insurance, and holdbacks. Initiate financial and collateral transactions based on customer requests or loan document provisions. Analyze and facilitate rate, commitment, and collateral changes, loan payments, tax and insurance escrows, flood‑zone monitoring requirements, DDA/Cash management services, and payoff instructions. Maintain all aspects of DDA restricted collateral accounts, including account opening, disbursements, reconciliations, hold‑level maintenance, and account closing. Maintain data integrity of the system of record by posting transactions, onboarding new loans and collateral, processing modifications and amendments, and maintaining data information. Communicate problems/issues immediately to Manager and/or relationship managers. Partner with relationship managers to provide superior service to the client base, including achievement of goals for cash management services and off‑balance‑sheet transitions. Provide expertise to relationship managers on system requirements, proactively identify and resolve issues affecting client service and risk management. Provide expertise to others through a thorough understanding of business requirements of clients and loan‑related transactions. Participate actively in projects as needed. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience and knowledge of commercial real estate, including commitment/loan structures, title/liens, documentation, and industry practices for collateral release. Familiarity with Commercial Loan Systems and Deposit Systems. Prior experience in comprehension of public or private REITs (preferred). Demonstrated ability to service commercial loans with more complex financing (e.g., foreign exchange products) (preferred). Work Location Category Hybrid (2 days) – Qualified candidate must be able to report to one of the office sites listed 2 days per week. Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $57,000.00 – $87,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
