Description: Experienced Registered Veterinary Technician/ RVT (Hourly wage $25 to $35/ hour minimum 3 years experience - depending on skills)

As an RVT, your responsibilities may include veterinary nursing and hospitalized-patient care; anesthesia and analgesia; perioperative nursing; medication and fluid administration; venous access and specimen collection; laboratory diagnostics; diagnostic imaging; dentistry; emergency and critical care; transfusion medicine; client education; medical documentation; and other advanced nursing responsibilities appropriate to your training, competency, and assigned practice.

Most importantly, you will be expected to observe, think, communicate, advocate, and participate. You already know that every day in veterinary medicine is different and many days will be difficult. Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience (preferred) - time spent in a formal veterinary nursing/technician program will also be considered
• Registered, Licensed or Certified Veterinary Technician/Assistant (preferred) (RVT, LVT, CVT/CVA)
• Emergency, ICU, GP experience (preferred)
• Experience in the following skills: Venipuncture, Restraint, IV Catheter Placement, Assessing Vitals, Medical Record Notation, Intubation/Extubation, Monitoring Under Anesthesia, Minor Drug Calculations, Dentistry, Radiographs, post-surgical care, Fecal flotation and interpreting results
