Examples could include emergent architectural approaches, new cloud provider offerings, or productivity enhancers (new tooling, Chat-GPT, Co-Pilot, or similar)What you'll doYou will provide leadership within software teams; as a mentor, team-lead, trusted client-facing technologist and/or as a hands-on contributorYou will impact all phases of our projects and all phases of the SDLCYou will leverage your existing depth of knowledge to maximize your impactYou will grow into new and/or adjacent technologies and domains to broaden your impactWhat you'll bring5+ years in software development, including working in teamsExperience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or XPDeep knowledge in the language and library/framework ecosystems of Java, JavaScript/Typescript, or PythonExperience in defining and utilizing software development best practicesProject Structures, coding practices, testing practicesDefinition and utilization of CI/CD pipelinesArchitectural patterns that balance scope and scale of project needsIdentification and mediation of technical debt within a code base over timeDeep knowledge building high quality, scalable, and production ready software, such as:Services with well defined APIs utilizing REST, GraphQL, messaging, or similarData Pipelines to integrate systems, enable analytics, or similarWeb Applications utilizing modern technology approachesMobile Applications that are built with cross platform development in mindExperience constructing systems by composing smaller components. The breadth could include:Definition of work units that can be implemented in an efficient, additive waySOA, Microservices, or similar architectural patternsSeparation of concerns via good OOP and/or FP designExperience managing data. The breadth could include:Design of database schema, constraints and transaction boundariesRead/Write design trade-off decisions and how it relates to mutable vs. immutable data stateUse of Relational vs NoSQL stores for appropriate use casesBachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or other related fieldsPreferred ExperienceHands-on experience developing with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)Hands-on experience with varied compute technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda, etc.)Hands-on experience with pipeline definitions (Gitlab-ci, Circle, Travis, etc.)Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code technologies (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, etc.)$80,000 - $400,000 a yearTravel RequirementsEmployees are responsible for traveling to and from client sites as required by their project or assignment, regardless of location. Travel may include sites outside the employee's primary office location, state, or region.Remote & Hybrid WorkWhile remote or hybrid work may be permitted for certain projects, client needs take precedence.
