Staff Engineer I

Staff EngineerBraun Intertec is seeking a Staff Engineer to join our Hibbing, MN office. The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring. Responsibilities include performing various field and laboratory tests, working independently on specific assignments of limited scope and with engineers on larger projects as a team member, preparing proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects, managing basic geotechnical and material testing projects, maintaining client communications and building client relations, developing solutions, making recommendations, and preparing engineering reports for review. The candidate will observe construction in progress and report to the project engineer. Gain experience relevant to obtain a Professional Engineer license.Required skills include a valid driver's license and clean driving record, performing field related services at least 50% of the time, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Travel up to 25% of time is required.Required experience includes prior professional consulting experience desired, proficiency in field-testing and report writing experience, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical, materials emphasis, or related, and EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.Compensation range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00
