We are looking for a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support purchasing and materials coordination for a Contract position based in Portland, Maine. This role focuses on handling inbound and outbound inventory activity, maintaining accurate purchase-related records, and working closely with the purchasing department to keep daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing order activity, vendor communication, and merchant service processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries while verifying quantities, condition, and supporting documentation.
• Create, track, and update purchase orders to ensure materials and products are ordered accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and the purchasing department to resolve order discrepancies, delivery issues, and supply questions.
• Maintain organized records for purchasing activities, shipping receipts, invoices, and related transaction documents.
• Monitor stock movement and assist with replenishment planning to support operational and sales needs.
• Support daily purchasing functions by reviewing requests, confirming item details, and following established procurement procedures.
• Assist with merchant services documentation and related administrative tasks tied to purchasing and sales transactions.• Experience supporting purchasing functions, shipping and receiving, or related inventory coordination work.
• Working knowledge of purchase order processing and general purchasing activities.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple transactions with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable communicating with vendors, warehouse staff, and internal departments to address routine issues.
• Basic understanding of purchasing department workflows and documentation standards.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry used for order and inventory tracking.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
