Full-time Chicago, IL / Hybrid $110,000 - $140,000 Posted 452 days ago Operations OVERVIEW Lead Complex Digital Transformations We're looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to orchestrate our most complex client engagements. You'll manage cross-functional teams delivering custom software, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires both technical depth and exceptional leadership skills to guide projects from inception to successful deployment. RESPONSIBILITIES What You'll Do Project Planning & Execution Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for complex technical implementations Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations Manage project budgets, scope, and deliverables across multiple engagements Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and architects Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as primary point of contact for client project communications Facilitate requirements gathering and discovery sessions Present project status, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders Manage client expectations and navigate challenging conversations Build strong relationships that lead to expanded engagements Technical Leadership Understand technical architecture and implementation details Facilitate technical discussions between clients and development teams Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the project lifecycle Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and performance Review and approve technical deliverables and documentation Team & Process Management Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos Coach teams on agile best practices and continuous improvement Develop and refine project management processes and tools Mentor junior project managers and team members REQUIREMENTS What We're Looking For Experience 7+ years of project management experience in software/technology Proven track record managing projects over $500K in value Experience with enterprise software implementations and integrations Background in consulting or professional services environment Experience managing distributed and remote teams Track record of successful client relationship management Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and architectures Understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows Experience with project management tools (Jira, Monday, MS Project) Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Ability to read and understand technical documentation Certifications & Skills PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in creating project artifacts (SOWs, project plans, status reports) Experience with budget management and resource planning Leadership Qualities Ability to influence without direct authority Calm under pressure with excellent crisis management skills Strategic thinking with attention to detail Empathetic leadership style that motivates teams Cultural awareness for working with diverse teams and clients Commitment to continuous learning and improvement COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $110,000 - $140,000 based on experience Variable Compensation Annual performance bonus up to 15% Benefits Package Hybrid work model (2-3 days in office) Latest equipment and productivity tools Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Performance-based bonuses SUCCESS METRICS What Success Looks Like Deliver 95%+ of projects on time and within budget Maintain high client satisfaction scores (NPS 70+) Successfully manage 3-5 concurrent complex engagements Grow existing accounts through excellent project delivery Build and maintain high-performing, motivated project teams Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency by 20%+ You're Our Ideal Candidate If...
