Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Clinical Nurse in Laramie, Wyoming. This role is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the scope of practice, including patient education based on individual needs. The position also involves transcribing, utilizing, and implementing protocols and physician orders, and coordinating the healthcare team through appropriate delegation to ancillary personnel. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Wyoming in good standing with the Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current or obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout employment); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (current or obtained within six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (current or obtained within six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment); certification in a de-escalation program (as approved by the facility) within the first six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment; completion of a procedural sedation module within six (6) months of hire and every two (2) years thereafter; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (current or obtained within six (6) months of hire and maintained throughout employment); Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training within one (1) year of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a clinical nurse setting; previous experience in a hospital setting; Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN).
• Additional Information:
  • Annual completion of required continuing education credits.

  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with staff, managers, and the general public; demonstrates listening skills.

  • Demonstrates ethical and legal accountability for the position.
  • Performs essential patient-care functions within scope of practice and completes other duties as assigned.
