Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic hardware for ruggedized and defense-related applications. This is a highly hands-on role for an engineer who is comfortable taking designs from requirements through PCB development, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and final product completion.
Responsibilities
- Design analog and digital electronic circuits and PCBs.
- Develop schematics and board layouts using Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools .
- Select components and support PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Personally perform board bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging .
- Develop embedded firmware using C for microcontrollers and/or VHDL/Verilog for FPGA/CPLD applications.
- Reverse engineer and redesign existing electronic hardware.
- Support engineering documentation, design reviews, and formal program milestones.
- Ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and applicable military/industry requirements.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- 5+ years of hands-on analog/digital circuit and PCB design experience .
- Strong experience building, testing, and debugging hardware — not design-only.
- Experience with embedded C, microcontrollers, and/or FPGA firmware .
- Strong PCB design / ECAD experience; Altium Designer preferred .
- Experience with reverse engineering or legacy hardware redesign strongly preferred.
- MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, defense, aerospace, or ruggedized electronics experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Ideal candidates have strong technical depth and enjoy owning hardware development from concept through a fully tested product.
