Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Job DescriptionThe Forklift Operator is responsible for a variety of warehouse duties which includes but is not limited to bringing pallets of raw materials to the packaging lines, removing finished product pallets from the packaging lines, counting and putting away raw materials, filling customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, and keeping the warehouse organized in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.Job DutiesEnsure that all finished goods are put away and scanned into the proper bin locationFollow production schedule and pull raw materials accordinglyPick all raw materials on a FIFO basisCount, label, and put away raw materialsExecute the cycle counting programMaintain inventory areas for proper storage and FIFO rotationPerform computer related tasks in the warehouse management systemPrepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correctReceive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipmentInspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damage, and notify SupervisorOperate counterbalance and/or reach forklift for loading and unloading of product and moving product to and from the production line.Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standardsRequirementsHigh school, GED or equivalentRegular and predictable attendance requiredRequired to work standard 8 hour shiftsFlexibility to work overtime as neededAbility to operate a stand up and sit down forkliftAbility to use computer tabletAbility to use a hand held scannerAbility to perform mathematical calculationsAbility to operate in a fast paced production environmentEffectively work as part of a teamAttention to detailAble to stand for an 8 hour shiftAble to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basisAbility to operate a forklift preferred but we will train if no experienceJob BenefitsMedical insurance coverageDental and Vision insuranceShort Term Disability401(k) with company matchVoluntary Life and AD&DPaid time offJob Type - Full TimePay - Range based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
