This role offers the opportunity to develop and strengthen the core skills necessary for a successful project management career, including project controls, resource planning, stakeholder coordination, regulatory compliance, subcontractor management, field logistics, and client communication, while contributing to the successful delivery of complex environmental and infrastructure projects.
Role accountabilities:
As a Project Task Manager you will play a key role as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the planning, management, and execution of various project scopes. Successful candidates for this position will have prior experience supporting utility, environmental, cultural resource, or infrastructure projects, coordinating Tribal monitoring programs, working with government agencies and external stakeholders, and maintaining project tracking and reporting systems. Experience managing field logistics, workforce scheduling, permit compliance, and subcontractor coordination is also highly valued.
This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is committed to supporting the successful delivery of complex environmental and infrastructure projects while advancing their career in environmental consulting and project management. Your daily/weekly activities will be primarily office-based work, with the potential to conduct site field visits throughout California and west coast.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all field activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Environmental Release to Construction (ERTC) measures, permit conditions, client requirements, and regulatory commitments.
- Indigenous & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with Tribal representatives, Tribal Monitors, local stakeholders, and property owners to ensure biological and cultural resource protection requirements and stakeholder commitments are met.

- Project Tracking & Reporting: Maintain project information and progress tracking within internal and client-facing SharePoint systems. Prepare status updates, progress reports, action item logs, and project documentation to support project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor project activities to ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements, scope, schedules, safety expectations, and quality standards.
This role offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, providing opportunities to contribute meaningfully to a variety of environmental projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in the environmental industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience coordinating environmental, cultural resource, biological, construction, or utility-related field programs
- Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with tribal representatives, government agencies, landowners and other external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous field activities and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and field personnel in a dynamic project environment.
- This position requires a dynamic individual with relevant experience who is ready to contribute to a team-oriented environment while advancing their career in environmental consulting.
