Business Data AnalystJob Location: Tampa Florida Job Duration: 12 monthsJob Description Organization and Department Overview:The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to company’s clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data.The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.The IT Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team.The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.Team Overview:This Execution BA Team works on a global strategic technology platform - Global Corporate Action Event Repository.Major Tasks Involve:Processing Vendor Data Feeds & Internal Upstream Client Data, Mapping Data, Analyzing and Researching Data, Working on Swift Messages, User Interface, Data Publishing to downstream client (via Cloud, custom publisher) as XML/ Reports, Rules & governance, Audit, Compliance.Coverage, Accuracy and Timeliness of Information are the key drivers. Client and User Requirements drives the Product Roadmap.Team is spread around globally in multiple locations.Create Business and Function Requirements:Data Modelling, MappingData Mining and TransformationSQL ProficiencyWork closely with IT, PM and Operations partnersDevelop Interfaces - Web GUI / APIWork with Data Providers Vendors (Internal & External)Define EPICs and User Stories based on Client RequirementsWork with StakeholdersDocumentation and User TrainingRequired Skills:Working with Clients and capture Business Requirement:Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specificationsValidation and Testing in collaboration with Dev/QA/Operations.Understanding of Data Vendor/Data Source Hierarchy for Golden CopyExperience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis.College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experienceAbility to focus on high quality work while under pressureData Oriented with an excellent attention to detail
