KEY RESPOSIBILITIES Resident Satisfaction- Provide respectful, compassionate, and dignified care; respond promptly to resident needs; encourage independence and engagement. (Resident Above All Else) Service Delivery- Follow care plans and service agreements, assist with personal care, administer medications as delegated, and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. (Residents Above All Else). Household Tasks- Support residents with housekeeping, laundry, room order, and meal preparation/cleanup to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. (Dedicated) Daily Documentation- Accurately chart care, medication administration, service delivery, and resident condition changes in accordance with policies and regulations. (Takes Initiative / Problem Solver) QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to pass a criminal and/or abuse background check, and drug screening The following qualifications are preferred but not required - applicants with equivalent experience or skills are encouraged to apply: Previous caregiving experience with older adults or individuals with physical/mental health needs CNA/NAR, HHA or TMA Certificate SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Sensitivity and aptitude for working with adults that require assistance. (Caring) Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively. (Solver) Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff. (Honest) Ability to read, write, and document accurately, including use of medical terminology. (Gets It, Wants It, Has Capacity) Dependability with good attendance and punctuality. (Dedicated) Ability to work calmly, respectfully, and effectively in varying situations. (Positive) 1. Resident Satisfaction a. Provide compassionate, respectful, and attentive care. b. Promote independence and dignity through choices and self-help support. c. Encourage participation in activities and social interactions. d. Respond promptly and appropriately to requests and concerns 2. Service Delivery a. Follow care plans and service agreements. b. Assist residents (adults (18 year +) male and female) with activities of daily living as indicated on their individual service agreement (including, but not limited to dressing, showering, grooming, toilet assistance and escorting). c. Delegated tasks may include bowel programs, wound changes, catheter care, etc. d. Administer and document medications per RN delegation and policy e. Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. f. Report and document changes in condition immediately. g. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements. 3. Household Tasks a. Assist with housekeeping and daily room order b. Support laundry and linen care c. Help maintain a clean and safe environment d. Support residents with socialization and emotional needs. e. Participate in safe food handling, meal preparation, and cleanup. 4. Daily Documentation a. Chart care provided and resident condition changes b. Complete service delivery record, incident reports, and logs promptly c. File and maintain resident charts d. Review and follow updated care plans daily. Additional Responsibilities Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
