4th/5th Grade Humanities Long Term Substitute Starting Date: Aug 10, 2026 Job Description The Kingdom East School District seeks a full-time 4th/5th grade Humanities Long Term Substitute Teacher to serve at Sutton School, providing Humanities instruction aligned to practices, assessment, and curricula adopted by the school/district. The role will be part of a collaborative team utilizing best practice to provide integrated reading, writing, and social studies instruction within a collaborative multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS). Experience with the C3 Framework, project‑based learning, and knowledge of developmentally appropriate best practice instruction for reading and writing are beneficial. The teacher will work closely with an instructional team, including KESD Instructional Coaches, the principal, and the KESD Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467. Experience with Responsive Classroom and PBIS is beneficial but not necessary. The Kingdom East School District operates seven preK‑8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
