CNC Programmer

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these 2D/3D Product Drawings.
* Use computer software to model cutting paths and programs changes accordingly.
* Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
* Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
* Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.
* Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
* Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and preventative maintenance.
* Train employees in how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.

*COMPETENCY:*
* Willing to travel locally (40 miles max.) between other plants when needed.
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
* Previous experience as a CNC programmer is required.
* Previous experience with MasterCam is required.
* Milltronics and ThermWood CNC experience is helpful.
* Must have strong attention to detail.
* Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and 2D/3D Drawings.
* Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise with the CNC machinery.
* The ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
* Should have a positive and professional attitude.
* Available to work weekends and overtime when needed.
* Capable of standing for extended periods of time.

*REQUIREMENTS:*
* Ability to work under pressure during the troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
* Ability to deescalate stressful situations when working with coworkers and contractors.
* Ability to legally operate company vehicles.
* Ability to work occasional overtime.
* Ability to accommodate overnight hotel stays at remote sites. (Rare occasion)
* Self-driven, with solid verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with good prioritization skills.
* Ability to maintain a neat and organized work area.
* Physical abilities to including lifting of 20-25 lbs.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
