Distribution Section Manager - New Mexico

Distribution Section Lead – Responsibilities Take responsibility for operations of the production section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support. Act as Project Manager, overseeing production on projects in addition to management responsibilities. Administer section staff and technical service functions, and coordinate services with other sections. Participate in marketing planning, proposals, and client interviews. Engage with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production, and related matters. Ensure work is planned, organised, controlled, and evaluated through a proactive project‑management system. Implement, monitor, and support company policy. Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel. Develop and lead multi‑disciplinary teams. Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff on local and national marketing and production efforts. Perform other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical; other engineering degrees considered). Professional Engineering (PE) license. Licensing or certification such as PMP is a plus. Experience with industry software including CYMCAP, ETAP, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS‑CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc. 4+ years of distribution design experience, including planning studies, coordination studies, wiring sizing, and a general understanding of constructability. 10+ years of overall experience, including prior project management and staff management. Strong client‑management, marketing, and business‑development skills with established relationships with power‑delivery clients. Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts, and hiring for an engineering consulting firm. Self‑driven and motivated ability to network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Professional registration, license or certification as required by role. Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to handle multiple assignments. Good leadership and organisational skills. Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture.
