Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting requiring prior inpatient case management experience and either travel or Epic experience.

Details

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 2-3 weekends required per contract
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years acute care inpatient case management experience required
• Epic charting system experience required, or prior travel case management experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Medical-Surgical specialty experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Up to 40 hours RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any planned time off between sign date and start date must be disclosed to coordinate an appropriate start date
• Previous UVA Health permanent staff or internal/external travelers must disclose prior employment; a 1-year separation and leadership approval is required for return
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
• No radius or mileage restriction applies to this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered unless they have acute care case management and Epic experience
