Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid teaching credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education
• Previous experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong knowledge of best practices and instructional strategies for DHH learners
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to use visual/manual communication as needed
• Ability to create individualized, effective lesson plans and adapt materials
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grade levels
• Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to support access and engagement
• Advocate for student needs and ensure accessibility in the educational environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families
