Overview Superintendent – Site Development & Heavy Civil Construction Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, United States (On-site) Industry: Construction / Heavy Civil Infrastructure / Site Development Job Function: Construction Operations / Site Management Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations for site development and site preparation projects including earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, and storm drainage. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and field crews to maintain project schedules and productivity. Lead site safety efforts and enforce OSHA standards, company safety policies, and project-specific safety requirements. Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, inspectors, survey crews, and owners to ensure successful project execution. Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and work plans to ensure work is completed according to contract requirements. Monitor production, manpower, equipment utilization, and material deliveries to maintain efficient field operations. Oversee underground utility installations including water, sewer, storm drain, and detention systems. Conduct daily meetings, safety briefings, and subcontractor coordination meetings. Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays while maintaining quality and schedule expectations. Maintain daily reports, site documentation, punch lists, and progress updates. Support inspections, testing, and quality control activities throughout all phases of construction. Assist with project closeout activities including final walkthroughs and turnover coordination. Your Profile 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, site development, or infrastructure construction. Strong field leadership experience managing earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and civil construction operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing fast-paced construction sites. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and heavy equipment operations. Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Office preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
