Are you an experienced Sterile Processing professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of healthcare professionals? 

We are currently building a talent pipeline for anticipated Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Instructor positions as we prepare to launch a new Sterile Processing Technician program. While an instructor position is not currently available, we are seeking qualified professionals who would like to be considered for future instructional opportunities. 

Interested professionals may be invited to tour the campus, review proposed laboratory and instructional resources, provide feedback on curriculum concepts, and participate in discussions regarding workforce needs and industry trends. 

Newly hired instructors will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the Sterile Processing Technician program, helping shape curriculum, laboratory experiences, and student learning outcomes from the ground up. 

 

The Sterile Processing Technician program prepares students for entry-level careers in hospitals, medical centers, and other healthcare settings. Students learn sterile processing functions, infection control methods, instrument identification, sterilization procedures, inventory management, and industry best practices through classroom, laboratory, and hands-on learning experiences.

Potential Instructor Responsibilities 

• Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction. 
• Prepare students for entry-level employment in sterile processing. 
• Share current industry knowledge, trends, and best practices. 
• Support student success through mentoring and career readiness activities. 
• Participate in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in Sterile Processing/Central Services. 
• Industry credential(s) preferred. 
• Teaching, training, mentoring, or preceptor experience preferred. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Passion for workforce development and student success. 

Additional Opportunity 

Individuals interested in supporting the development of the program prior to launch may also have the opportunity to serve on the Program Advisory Committee, providing industry insight, curriculum feedback, and guidance on workforce needs.
