Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2355.52\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Neuro Stepdown & EMU\n Job Details:\n • Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM\n • Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required\n • Holiday rotation participation expected\n • Possible floating to units 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W\n • 2 shifts of on-unit orientation provided\n • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract\n • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for EMU floor\n • Nurse aides available on unit at a ratio of 1:8-9, with 4 aides per shift\n • Charge nurse support available 24/7\n • Care for higher acuity neuroscience patients including strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and epilepsy monitoring\n • EPIC charting system experience required\n • Strong neuro experience required including history of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH protocols\n • NIHSS certification required at time of submission\n • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred\n • Experience with EVDs preferred\n • Titration performed by physician orders only; relevant protocols will be provided during orientation\n • Respiratory therapy available 24/7 to manage floor vents; RNs are not required to have vent experience\n • Telemetry present on unit; RNs are not required to read strips\n • Royal blue scrubs required\n • BSN not required\n Facility:\n This healthcare facility is home to a specialized Neuroscience Inpatient Step Down Unit and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, offering comprehensive care for high-acuity neurological patients.
