New Iberia, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Laborer to support pallet production operations in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. This position involves loading pre-cut wood components into production machinery, monitoring the pallet assembly process, and verifying finished pallet dimensions for accuracy. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable using a metric (millimeter) tape measure to ensure precise measurements.

Essential Duties:
• Load pre-cut wood components, including individual 2x4s, into pallet production machinery.
• Properly position wood pieces in the machine for automated pallet assembly and nailing.
• Use a metric (millimeter) tape measure to verify finished pallets meet required dimensions and specifications.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.
• Inspect completed pallets for dimensional accuracy and overall quality.
• Follow established production procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work safely around production machinery and forklift traffic.
• Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.
• Operate a forklift only after completing required training and certification.

Requirements/Skills:
• Must be able to accurately read and use a metric (millimeter) tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within precise dimensional requirements.
• Ability to safely handle individual pieces of lumber and load them into production equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots and pants or appropriate work shorts. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided.
• Forklift experience is beneficial but not required; employees must complete required certification before operating a forklift.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to heat; large fans are utilized throughout the facility.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the work shift.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and handle individual pieces of lumber, including 2x4s, from a nearby stack and place them into production machinery.
• Ability to safely work around industrial machinery, moving equipment, and forklift traffic.
• Ability to wear required PPE for the duration of the work shift.
