Endoscopy Technician Advanced Procedures

Endoscopy Technician
Provides technical support for basic and advanced procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assists providers in Advanced Endoscopy procedures which may include: TIF, POEM, Minor OR procedures, X-tach, ESD, EMR, Esophogeal or Colon Stent Placement, Spyglass and EHL, RFA, Cryo.
- Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during the procedure.
- Communicates regarding specimen labeling, and routes for appropriate processing.
- Completes Point of Use cleaning for scopes. Routes for and/or completes scopes maintenance, care, disinfection/sterilization.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 1 year as an endoscopy technician, surgical tech or related.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
