Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, 5-doctor veterinary clinic in Bellefonte, PA. This position is available for both full-time and/or part-time candidates who are passionate about providing exceptional care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary team. Our spacious practice values utilizing technicians to their highest skill level and fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and development. We offer a flexible work schedule, prioritizing work/life balance with a 4 day work week, no weekends or major holidays.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
- Perform laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, drug calculations and anesthesia monitoring
- Perform technician pet appointments such as vaccine boosters, nail trims, blood draws, diabetic consult appointments, discharges
- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals
- Maintain accurate medical records, invoices and documentation.
- Provide compassionate care and education to clients regarding their pets' health
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and work areas.
- Support the clinic team in delivering high-quality veterinary care in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT or equivalent) in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Strong clinical and technical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to animal care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Work Schedule
Flexible full-time or part-time hours available to accommodate your needs.
Our hours are Monday 7am-8pm Tuesday 7am - 8pm Wednesday 7am- 7pm Thursday 7am-8pm Friday 830-6pm
