The Nurse Practitioner will practice in a collaborative environment with strong clinical and operational support.With no deliveries, surgical responsibilities, inpatient rounding, or regularly scheduled nights and weekends, this role offers procedural autonomy, schedule stability, and opportunities for long-term professional growth.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive outpatient women's healthcare, including well-woman examinations, acute visits, and family-planning servicesDeliver evidence-based prenatal and postpartum care in an outpatient settingDiagnose and manage common gynecologic and reproductive health concernsProvide contraception counseling and perform LARC insertion and removalPerform colposcopies, biopsies, and other appropriate in-office gynecologic proceduresProvide perimenopausal and menopausal carePrescribe medications, contraceptives, and other treatments in accordance with Florida lawOrder, review, and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic testingMake appropriate referrals for specialty care, additional testing, treatment, and follow-upMaintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic health record documentationComplete billing and clinical tasks in accordance with organizational requirementsCollaborate with Women's Health providers, nursing staff, medical assistants, and clinical leadershipProvide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and medical assistantsParticipate in peer review, quality-improvement initiatives, and accreditation-readiness activitiesSupport the education and supervision of students, residents, and allied health professionals when assignedPractice at multiple TFHC locations when operationally necessaryParticipate in limited telephone or after-hours coverage when assignedComply with HIPAA, federal, state, accreditation, HRSA, and TFHC requirementsQualificationsMaster's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programActive and unrestricted Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenseNational certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with substantial women's health experienceCurrent Basic Life Support certificationAt least two to three years of outpatient OB/GYN or women's health experience requiredExperience performing in-office gynecologic procedures strongly preferredStrong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-education skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care teamExperience with Epic or that the employee's initial training schedule may differ from the regular schedule of the position. All new hires, including part-time employees, must be available for up to 40 hours of in-person, on-site training during their first week. Additional mandatory training may continue for approximately two to three weeks, depending on the position and training requirements. Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employee's assigned work location.
