Position Description

The Arc Baton Rouge, a nonprofit organization in BatonRouge, Louisiana, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals withintellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking afull-time Job Coach to join our team and make a lasting impact by assistingadults with disabilities in achieving their employment goals and becomingvalued members of the workforce.

Position Overview:

The Job Coach is central to providing a safe, supportive,and meaningful work experience for our program individuals. This role requiresa compassionate, dependable, and innovative individual committed to helpingothers thrive in their roles.

Qualifications:

- Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual anddevelopmental disabilities.

- Strong communication, observation, and decision-makingskills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency with basic computer skills.

- Willingness to travel to various work sites via personalvehicle or public transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support individuals in maintaining employment throughon-site assistance and coaching.

- Provide training in all job-related skills, ensuringunderstanding and competency.

- Monitor and assess work performance, offering constructivefeedback.

- Foster and model appropriate workplace behaviors.

- Advocate for and promote workplace inclusion.

- Guide individuals in navigating workplace culture.

- Act as a liaison between the individual, their supportteam, employer, and The Arc Baton Rouge, maintaining positive, professionalrelationships with employers.

- Document services provided promptly, ensuring compliancewith regulatory standards.

- Perform other duties as needed for efficient and effectivedelivery service.
