Chemistry Technician I -Solid Support Production/CPG

Entry-level chemistry technician position focused on manufacturing Controlled Pore Glass (CPG) materials for oligonucleotide production. Responsible for chemical functionalization, equipment operation, inventory management, and batch documentation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and functionalize Controlled Pore Glass materials using validated protocols and procedures
• Operate, clean, and maintain production equipment for solid-phase chemistry processes
• Record real-time data and maintain accurate batch documentation following good documentation practices
• Monitor and replenish inventory of raw materials and CPG products as directed
• Coordinate with production leadership to ensure equipment functionality and efficient resource utilization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physical science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 0-2 years laboratory or manufacturing experience, or 2-4 years relevant industry experience
• Proficiency with chemical calculations and metric system conversions
• Competent understanding of laboratory safety and chemical hazard protocols
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and data entry systems
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation: $22.35-$37.25 hourly
