Behavior Technician

Ivan Tree Therapy is looking for a caring, reliable Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with a child in the family’s home in Los Angeles, CA 90029. This is a part-time Behavioral Technician position offering approximately 20–25 hours per week. We are seeking a dependable candidate who is consistently available on weekday mornings and afternoons. As we receive additional cases, there may be opportunities to take on more clients and transition into a full-time position. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and follow the treatment plan created for the child. We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, comfortable working with children, and genuinely interested in helping them learn and make progress. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in the child’s home Follow the treatment plan and instructions provided by the supervising BCBA Help the child develop communication, social, play, daily living, and other important skills Collect accurate data during each session Complete session notes and other required documentation on time Use positive reinforcement and other strategies outlined in the treatment plan Communicate professionally with the child’s caregivers, the BCBA, and other authorized team members Attend required training, supervision sessions, and team meetings Maintain the child’s privacy and follow HIPAA requirements Notify the supervising BCBA promptly about concerns, significant changes, or barriers affecting treatment Complete and submit a Special Incident Report (SIR) on the same day as any reportable incident Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with the child and family Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required Must have basic computer skills, and be able to utilize our practice management software Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred Experience in ABA, childcare, education, behavioral health, or special-needs services is a plus Must be comfortable following a structured treatment plan and receiving ongoing supervision Strong communication and time-management skills Reliable transportation to the client’s home Must be able to pass all required background and employment screenings Schedule, Pay and Benefits Part-time, but opportunity to transition into a full-time position as additional cases become available Approximately 20–25 hours per week Dependable and consistently available during weekday morning, afternoon and occasionally Saturday mornings $22–$26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Sick time is offered for part time employees About Ivan Tree Therapy Ivan Tree Therapy provides individualized in-home and community - based ABA services to children and families throughout Los Angeles.
