Industrial PainterThe Industrial Painter prepares and finishes a variety of surfaces in a manufacturing environment using industrial painting techniques and equipment. This role focuses on proper surface preparation, accurate color matching, consistent paint application, and the use of protective coatings to ensure high-quality, durable finishes that meet detailed specifications and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying appropriate treatments to ensure proper paint adhesion.Operate and maintain industrial painting equipment such as spray guns and paint brushes to apply primers, sealers, and topcoats to metal and other materials.Mix and match paint colors and finishes according to specifications, ensuring consistency, coverage, and overall quality.Inspect painted surfaces for quality, uniformity, and coverage, and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed.Apply protective coatings to surfaces to prevent corrosion, wear, and environmental damage.Follow safety protocols at all times and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.Maintain clean and organized work areas, and properly store paints, solvents, and tools.Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs promptly.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1+ years of industrial painting experience is preferred.Proficiency in industrial painting techniques, including surface preparation, spraying, and finishing.Ability to operate industrial painting equipment such as spray guns and paint brushes safely and effectively.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret work orders related to painting specifications and surface preparation.Strong attention to detail in color matching, coverage, and finish quality.Commitment to following safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Ability to maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on painting equipment.Organizational skills to keep work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.Reliability and consistency in meeting quality standards and production timelines.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including full health benefits, a competitive 401(k) program with up to 12% employer match, and generous paid time off starting at 2 weeks.
