Career Services and Employer Relations Assistant The Career Services and Employer Relations Assistant provides administrative and program coordination support to the Career Services Office, assisting with employer engagement, career readiness initiatives, student outreach, event support, and office operations. Responsibilities Update data spreadsheets and reports to reflect accurate information for Career Services initiatives. Manage employer contacts using the Handshake platform and other career services resources. Post, update, and monitor employment opportunities across multiple platforms. Assist students with resume and cover letter development and provide basic career readiness support. Support student outreach by generating engagement ideas and promoting Career Services programs and events. Assist with workshops, career fairs, employer information sessions, and other special events, including event promotion and logistics. Prepare materials for workshops, coaching sessions, and special events. Maintain inventory and stock of Career Services handouts and resources. Administer surveys and assist with collecting feedback from employers, students, and community partners. Assist with the operation and management of the Career Clothing Closet. Perform general office duties, including answering phones, ordering supplies, scanning, copying, data entry, and customer service. Provide excellent customer service to students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and community partners. Perform other duties as assigned and assist during emergency operations as directed. Qualifications Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe applications. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively follow up, follow through, and work independently. Demonstrated ability to organize, multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform clerical tasks and maintain accurate records. Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Additional Considerations Interest in career development, student services, workforce readiness, human resources, business, communications, or related fields. Experience with social media, event planning, or customer service is beneficial. Familiarity with Handshake or other career management platforms.
