B - Boldly Go E – Embrace Equity H - Humble Confidence I - Inclusive Stewardship V - Value Reputation E - Extraordinary Experience Job Overview The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of marketing strategies and activities for our energy efficiency efforts with utility and government clients in Illinois. Each day we help our clients and communities use less energy, save money and help the environment through the development, implementation and refinement of sound marketing and outreach initiatives. We are looking for someone who is as passionate about our work as we are and has the skills and attitude to be successful. This position will report to the Marketing Manager and interface closely with graphic design, program managers, operations, outreach teams, clients, and vendor partners. In this role you will be responsible for the project management and writing of marketing communications for residential energy efficiency programs through email marketing, collateral and print production deliverables. This individual will be responsible for proofing materials for program accuracy and brand compliance, monitoring campaign performance and preparing status reports and supporting presentation for client meetings and events. Essential Responsibilities Embrace and operate within our core values. Work directly with the Marketing Manager and client to implement marketing and communications plans to educate customers about energy efficiency and drive participation in energy efficiency programs. Work with the client and subcontractors to develop on- and offline-marketing materials including website content, print materials, email communications, brochures, etc. Own the development and delivery of written reports and project updates in client facing meetings and with vendor partners (may be virtual or in-person). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field of study from an accredited college, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of experience working in a marketing, advertising, public relations agency or consulting environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Skilled at cross-functional communication and a team player. Demonstrated experience representing diverse cultures in marketing projects and campaigns. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. Demonstrated experience implementing marketing communication plans, with the ability to manage and execute collateral development, email and direct mail campaigns, advertising, and social media projects. Proficient use of computer and online tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and social networking sites. Must be available for occasional travel to the client’s office. Desired Qualifications Experience with copy writing, editing, and proofreading is strongly preferred. Licenses & Certifications None. Travel Requirements Up to 10% locally. Pay Transparency This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. A team member may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.
