Associate Attorney

Position Overview Dagger Law is a midsize, full-service law firm located in Lancaster, Ohio. We are seeking an associate attorney to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work directly with partners and other associates across all practice areas of the firm. Pay is commensurate with experience Partnership track Recent graduates encouraged The associate attorney will support the firm by conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, counseling clients, assisting with trial preparation, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex matters. The role requires adaptability, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work in a professional office environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of relevant case law and statutes. Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions. Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients. Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence and documentation. Counsel clients on legal matters and guide them through complex regulations and procedures to help ensure compliance and protect their interests. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress using legal administrative software. Use legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy development. Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to provide comprehensive representation for clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. Excellent research skills and proficiency with legal research databases. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents. Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
