Job Description Job Description Job Title: Bilingual Medical Assistant Job Description The bilingual medical assistant ensures proper and timely check-in of clients and prepares them for medical examinations. The role supports efficient clinic operations by coordinating client flow and preparing examination rooms for clinical visits and procedures. Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms, ensuring all supplies, materials, and equipment are stocked and functional. Collect, transport, disinfect, and prepare instruments for sterilization according to established policies. Verify client identification using a minimum of two approved identifiers. Escort clients to appropriate areas throughout the clinic. Complete all assigned tasks within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within the requested timeframe. Schedule follow-up appointments for clients as directed. Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EHR, including recording client vital signs. Identify and report abnormal findings to the medical provider. Prepare and complete laboratory orders and requisitions, ensuring proper specimen collection, labeling, processing, and documentation using a minimum of two patient identifiers. Ensure specimens are properly packaged and securely enclosed for transport to the laboratory. Assist medical providers with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing as needed. Review visit summaries and discharge instructions with clients as directed by the provider. Update and record client information in the EHR, including allergies, medication reconciliation, immunization history, and health history forms. Send and receive documents via fax per provider request. Make outbound phone calls and document communication in the EHR as requested by providers. Assist with the completion of clinical and administrative forms as required. Prepare and review the following day’s client schedule and anticipated care needs to support smooth clinic flow. Essential Skills Medical assisting Bilingual in Creole Customer service Medical terminology Phlebotomy Injections Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified, Clinically-certified, MA diploma, or Registered Medical Assistant 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR preferred Experience giving injections required Work Environment This role is based 100% onsite at a primary care clinic in Delray Beach, FL. The position requires independent work as well as collaboration as part of a medical office team. The regular shift is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with some Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Delray Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $41600.00/yr.
