Senior Property Accountant (50% remote)

Our client, one of the most recognizable real estate investment firms in NYC, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for their commercial real estate portfolio. This company can offer significant growth potential and diverse exposure across the real estate business. Responsibilities Review general ledger activity and financial statements; prepare accruals and other adjusting entries in accordance with GAAP for a portfolio of office and retail properties Assist with daily accounting activities and transactional processing Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations Prepare financial statement analyses for management and ownership groups Work with the Controller and business leaders on monthly cash flow projections Assemble monthly, quarterly, and annual workpaper packages based on journal entries and ledger review Support the preparation of recurring investor and lender reporting packages Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements on both GAAP and tax bases, including audit support Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting updates Develop reporting templates and perform analyses using Excel and enterprise systems such as Yardi or MRI; assist with system and process initiatives Provide support on special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field Approximately 2-5 years of professional experience within the real estate industry Experience in a public accounting firm auditing real estate clients and/or working for a real estate owner, manager or developer Strong computer skills including Yardi, MRI or a similar software #J-18808-Ljbffr Genuine Search Group
