Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in post-surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals post-surgery and with various medical conditions.
• Monitor patient health status and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Utilize specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the management of common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, and morbid obesity.

Schedule

This position offers a Day shift, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, on a 12-hour schedule. Floating to other units may be required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active and unencumbered New York RN license.
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• UP TO DATE resume documenting travel experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NURSYS report for license verification.
• EMR experience with EPIC.
