Group Rooms Manager

Position Overview Group Rooms Coordinator at The Shores Resort and Spa – responsible for coordinating group bookings, maintaining group room blocks, and providing exceptional service to guests. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain group room blocks and master accounts in the property management system. Coordinate with Sales and Front Desk teams to ensure all group details are prepared for arrival. Set up billing patterns and ensure accuracy of group billing and payments. Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal communication. Provide accurate information on availability, accommodation types, transportation, rate, and other services. Retrieve, communicate and verify confirmation numbers and relevant information for callers. Input and retrieve data using the computer reservation system with appropriate codes for efficiency. Answer questions regarding hotel facilities, services, airline partnerships, local attractions, directions, etc. Communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested. Handle complaints tactfully and negotiate resolutions, such as alternative accommodations when sold out. Interact with resort staff politely and respectfully. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous hotel or resort experience preferred. Strong desire to make an impact on others. Outgoing and engaging personality. Computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour.
