Make an impact this school year as a dedicated speech-language pathologist working within multiple elementary campuses in the region. This rewarding contract opportunity spans from October 1st through June 4th, providing support to a caseload of 35-45 students in a collaborative, educational setting. This full-time role follows a family-friendly 8:00am to 3:00pm schedule, offering the chance to positively influence students’ communication development and academic growth.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Maryland SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Passion for advocating for students’ individual needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans tailored to each student's goals
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary educational support teams
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and required documentation
- Engaging in ongoing communication with families and faculty to ensure student success across settings
