Job Description
The Robotic Weld Technician supports a high-volume stamping and welding assembly operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a large fleet of robotic welding cells
This role focuses on MIG and spot welding robots, ensuring they run safely, efficiently, and with high quality
Job Responsibilities
Operate, support, and maintain approximately 150 MIG and spot welding robots in a high-volume manufacturing facility
Home, reset, and reteach points on weld robots to maintain accurate and consistent weld quality
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic welding equipment, including Fanuc, Motoman, and ABB robots
Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems on fixtures, including checking air compressor function, identifying blockages in lines, and replacing pneumatic hoses as needed
Monitor sensors and automation components on welding fixtures to ensure proper operation and part detection
Respond quickly to equipment downtime, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore production
Perform maintenance and adjustments on industrial machines to support continuous operation of stamping and welding processes
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience on industrial machines
Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems, including MIG and spot welding applications
Ability to home, reset, and reteach weld robots accurately and safely
Strong pneumatic troubleshooting skills for fixtures, including diagnosing air compressor issues, clearing blockages, and replacing pneumatic hoses
Familiarity with Fanuc robotic systems; experience with Motoman and ABB robots is highly relevant

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.60 - $34.60/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
