Custodian LeaderThe Custodian Leader is responsible for the cleaning, safety, and security of the building. An important aspect of the Custodian Leader's work is the coordination and servicing of all school and outside group activities.Job Responsibilities:Performs cleaning, sanitation and maintenance duties as assignedResponsible for maintaining required building safety and securityMaintains inventory of all custodial suppliesCoordinates with Head Custodian the evening use of the buildingSets up, takes down and cleans up after school and outside group eventsResponsible for keeping sidewalks, steps, etc. free of snow and icePerforms other duties assigned by the Head Custodian and School PrincipalJob Qualifications:Knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in cleaning operations and grounds maintenanceAbility to establish and maintain a harmonious relationship with staff, supervisors, co-workers, parents, students, and publicAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to climb ladders and perform physical labor required for cleaning duties including relative long hours while standingAbility to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor1-3 years current experience as a CustodianWorking Conditions: C1 $18.14 - $21.31/hr + $0.35 Shift DifferentialMembers of Grosse Pointe Plant Association/MEA should e-mail letter of intent and updated resume to: Randal Baker, Supervisor of Custodial Operations, View email address on click.appcast.io
