Maintenance Technician

Join a dynamic company specializing in the manufacturing of precast concrete products. We are seeking two dedicated maintenance technicians to enhance our 3rd shift team. This position requires you to train on the day shift for one month before transitioning to the designated shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment.
• Understand and work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems, power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication, SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, oxy/acetylene cutting, and wheeled vehicle repair and operation.
• Work with various low/high voltages, motor starters, and VFDs.
• Perform 60% reactive maintenance and 40% preventative maintenance.
• Read and understand parts diagrams for equipment assembly and disassembly.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding parts inventories and supplies.

Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems.
• Proficiency in using power tools, overhead cranes, welding, and fabrication equipment.
• Experience in SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, and oxy/acetylene cutting.
• Ability to repair and operate wheeled vehicles including yard tractors, forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders.
• Experience working with various low/high voltages, motor starters, and VFDs.
• Automotive troubleshooting experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand parts diagrams.
• Experience in blueprint reading, fabrication, and welding.

Work Environment

Candidates must be comfortable working in an outside environment 40-50% of the time. This role is set in a concrete manufacturing environment that is loud, noisy, and industrial. You will be part of a team of ten technicians.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
