Job Description:
The Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic exams and procedures in the Ultrasound department efficiently according to physician orders. This role involves working effectively with patients and physicians, maintaining cooperative relationships with interdepartmental personnel, and ensuring the delivery of accurate diagnostic services. Key responsibilities include completing exams in a timely manner, assisting physicians with radiology procedures, managing supplies and equipment safely, and adhering to hospital policies for safety, infection control, and dress code. The Sonographer will also participate in department in-services and meetings, and provide support across radiology areas as needed, including responding promptly to on-call callbacks.
