Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantSI Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in Houston, Texas. In this newly created role, the Staff Accountant will partner closely with the Process Business Unit to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. Primary Responsibilities:Perform bank reconciliationsManage accounts receivable and invoicingPrepare monthly journal entries, including sales, COGS, other SG&A expenses, intercompany transactions, and intercompany eliminationsAssist in company/subsidiary financial and tax auditsAssist in company budgeting process and monthly cost varianceParticipate in monthly close and generation of monthly financialsProvide support on month-end closing and ad-hoc projects as assignedReconcile GL balance sheet accountsAssist in project review, percent complete, and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with GAAPAssist with State Annual Report filingsAssist finance staff with day-to-day accounting operations and reportingRequired Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field (finance, business, economics)2-3 years of experience in construction or professional servicesProject accounting, various contract types (T&M, fixed, etc.)NetSuite and Monday.comUnderstanding of Accounting TheoryHighly detailed oriented and organized in workAbility to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and communications skillsDesired Skills/Qualifications:Company budget experienceGeneral Ledger and month-end close experience, requiredExperience in percent complete and revenue recognitionGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting StandardsMicrosoft SuiteNetSuite experience, desiredPay Range: The expected salary range for this role in Texas is $63,500 - $76,800 annually.
