Managing Director (Key Biscayne)
RIKAS Hospitality Group
We are looking for a Managing Director to serve as the senior operational leader of Key Biscayne Private Member Club, overseeing all aspects of the Club's operations from pre-opening through the grand opening and into the long-term success of one of South Florida's most anticipated private membership destinations.
This is a unique opportunity to launch and oversee an exclusive private members club featuring multiple restaurants and bars, beach and pool facilities, racquet sports, wellness and fitness, family experiences, private events, and a premium membership community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Club through all pre-opening phases, including operational planning, recruitment, training, and the successful launch of the property.
- Provide strategic leadership across all areas of the Club, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional member experiences.
- Oversee all member-facing operations, including food & beverage, beach and pool operations, wellness, fitness, racquet sports, concierge, children's activities, retail, and private events.
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
- Drive the Club's financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities across all departments.
- Build strong relationships with members, ownership, resort leadership, and key stakeholders, acting as the Club's primary representative.
- Develop initiatives that enhance member engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention through exceptional service and exclusive programming.
- Establish and maintain luxury service standards, operational procedures, and best practices across the entire operation.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and department heads to deliver outstanding dining experiences across multiple food and beverage concepts.
- Identify strategic partnerships with luxury brands, cultural institutions, and community organizations that strengthen the Club's positioning.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, health, safety, and operational regulations while maintaining the highest standards of risk management.
- Monitor business performance through operational and financial reporting, using data and member insights to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of progressive leadership experience within luxury hospitality, private clubs, resort communities, or comparable luxury lifestyle environments.
- Previous experience as General Manager, Club Manager, Managing Director, or equivalent executive leadership role — with full P&L ownership and accountability across multiple departments.
- A minimum of one proven pre-opening leadership experience as General Manager or senior executive role for a luxury hospitality, resort, or private club concept.
- Demonstrated success overseeing complex, multi-outlet food and beverage operations, ideally across four or more distinct concepts simultaneously.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop large teams — 100 or more staff — within a complex luxury service environment.
- Strong financial and business management skills, including full budget ownership, P&L accountability, and capital expenditure oversight.
- Proven ability to build trusted, enduring relationships with ultra-high-net-worth members, ownership groups, and community stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and executive presence — equally at home in the company of ownership and on the floor with a junior team member.
