This Travel Registered Nurse assignment offers a collaborative perioperative nursing environment focused on patient preparation, safety, and smooth post-surgical recovery. Job Details Setting: Outpatient Surgery / Same Day Surgery Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124 Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, typically 5 shifts per week Shift Time: Approximately 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours Call / Weekends: No on-call requirement; weekend coverage not required Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Dress Code: Scrubs provided Charting System: EPIC Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license ACLS and BLS certifications required At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a surgical , SDS , pre-op , or post-op setting Experience starting IVs and obtaining vital signs Comfortable collecting brief health histories, reviewing medications, and supporting consent and pre-surgical preparation Ability to provide discharge instructions and post-surgical care education Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach Responsibilities Prepare patients for a variety of surgical procedures in a same day surgery environment Start IVs, obtain vital signs, and gather pre-operative information Support patients and families with education throughout the surgical experience Assist with pre-op and post-op workflow to help ensure safe, efficient care Provide discharge instructions and reinforce post-procedure recovery guidance Work closely with the surgical team to maintain quality patient flow and excellent care standards Deliver care across a broad range of surgical cases in a busy, well-organized unit Apply now to join this Salt Lake City RN travel job and bring your perioperative nursing skills to a rewarding outpatient surgery team in Utah.
