Store Operation Supervisor

Supervise the general operation in all areas of the store being an example for your team.

Provide direction and necessary feedback to employees in charge to coordinate a correct follow-up of the store's operational processes creating an optimal work environment and providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Authorize damaged and undamaged returns derived from defective merchandise, a wrong recommendation by an Employee or catalog errors always putting the customer first and ensuring their full satisfaction.

Ensure that all parts and products are in their assigned location in the store and the inventory is correct physically vs. system carrying out an impeccable administration of the weekly tasks for inventory maintenance.

Supervise the store's operational activities acting as an example and ensuring that employees provide advice to customers and use all tools like the electronic catalog and the testing and diagnostic equipment provided by AutoZone to give reliable advice and a true solution to our customers' needs supporting also in preventing merchandise returns by applying this practice.

Identify the strengths and areas of opportunity of the subordinate staff to assign the corresponding tasks as well as recognize good performance and provide feedback when detecting areas of improvement and training.

Supervise that all Employees comply daily with their work schedule and with the dress code established by AutoZone, address each other and towards our customers with the highest levels of respect, friendliness, and professionalism applying the guidelines and values of AutoZone.

Know and review each period the Profit and Loss (P&L) report to detect areas of opportunity in expense control and contribute to improving them promoting a culture of savings in all controllable consumptions.

Assign and follow up on tasks for area managers like planogram assembly, merchandise arrangement, cleaning of warehouse, bathrooms, dining room, sales floor, parking lot, in addition to reviewing the daily count of large cash funds and performing cash sweeps as well as cash cuts to the personnel in charge following the procedures provided by AutoZone.

Supervise and ensure that Employees use the safety equipment provided by AutoZone like belts, gloves, apron, and glasses when working in the arrangement of merchandise, doing some test in a vehicle or in the test stations inside the store contributing to avoid work accidents and ensuring a safe environment for our Employees.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

One to two years of experience as a Store, Warehouse, or Retail Supervisor
