Responsibilities
- Conduct medical necessity determinations and utilization reviews
- Perform discharge planning and coordinate care transitions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and connect patients with community resources
- Document screenings and discharge plans timely in the charting system
- Monitor length of stay and resource utilization; participate in appeals/denials as needed
- Apply DRG concepts and maintain HIPAA-compliant records
- Care for adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with a typical caseload around 20 patients

Requirements
- Valid RN license active in Idaho or a valid compact state license in hand at submittal
- BLS certification required
- Experience: 2 years preferred; previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred; travel experience not specified
- Epic charting system experience required
- Orientation/onboarding: able to complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Ability to work effectively in a Case Management unit and coordinate across patient populations (Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics)
