Occupational Therapist Specializing in Pelvic Floor Therapy

Community Medical and Dental Care, a non-profit community health center located in Rockland County, NY, is hiring an Occupational Therapist specializing in Pelvic Floor Therapy. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction.
• Facilitate development and rehabilitation by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy specifically tailored to pelvic health and its impact on activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Help patients regain physical functioning and independence through therapeutic exercise, biofeedback, manual therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
• Evaluate therapy results by observing, noting, and assessing patient progress; recommend and implement necessary adjustments to the plan of care.
• Ensure continuity of care by instructing patients and caregivers in specialized home exercise programs and providing education for at-home care.

Qualifications:

• Current NY State Occupational Therapy license (Required)
• Demonstrated experience or certification in Pelvic Floor Therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss sensitive health topics with empathy and professionalism.

Salary/Benefits:

• $60 - $78 / hour
